Fourth of July Festivities
Our family had a fun Independence Day weekend. We spent the 4th at Uncle Chris and Aunt Angie's bar-b-que. The kids had a lot of fun playing with their cousin Cole. A special thanks to Angie for having a party while 7 plus months pregnant. Annika made some pretty special cupcakes for the event, be sure to check out the pictures. Earl thought Sophie would be scared of the fireworks, but she wasn't. She didn't cry once, although I did see her try to plug her ears during the Piccolo Petes.
Saturday we went out on Utah Lake with our friends Tara and Jason. The kids had a blast riding their 3 person tube behind the boat. Annika and Sawyer were a little scared, but after a lot of persuading (Earl basically threw them onto the tube) they had fun. Annika loved it and wants to go again! After the lake, we went to our neighborhood fireworks show and it was fantastic! The fireworks were like a professional show, and we were right under them. At one point, the ashes were falling on Sophie and I had to move a bit.

Cutest grandkids in the world!! And I loved those beautiful cupcakes Annika! Glad you all had a nice weekend.
By chance, we watched part of your neighborhood fireworks! I was bringing Siouxzy & Blake home from the airport and we were driving down the street just in time to see part of them. Siouxzy & Blake were thrilled--they'd missed seeing fireworks. And it was a perfect end to their trip--celebrating being back in the USA!
Cute kids and loads of fun. How cool is it that you do neighborhood fireworks? We just watched our neighbors launch illegals (fireworks, not people) all night and hoped they wouldn't land on our house.) Okay we were secretly hoping they would land on our house so we could collect insurance money and move to Utah!)
Nice looking group of 4th of Julyers. Mark and I went to Rigby Lake (the one with the leeches) to watch fireworks. We were surrounded by the best Rigby, ID had to offer. Bryce turned to me and said What is that smell? I want to go home.
Needless to say....we are glad it is only once a year.
