During the Race: The only reason I'm smiling here is because I just passed the 12 mile marker and I know I'm less than 10 minutes away from breakfast. Thanks to Stan for beating me by 30 minutes - plenty of time to grab a camera and backtrack a mile! And thanks to Dad for waking up at 3am to get me to the starting line!

After the Race:
I did finish - believe it or not. Didn't hit my goal of 2 hours (finished in 2:13), but did meet my goal of no stopping/no walking. No style points for this win, but a "W" nonetheless.

Go Earl! You get a super W in my book. I couldn't run 1 mile if someone was chasing me with a gun! You rock!
Way to go Earl!! It must have been a good feeling to be able to finish the race with a great time. I wonder how many miles you ran in preparation for it!? It was fun to be on the trip with you. Thanks,
Mom
Better than me, I would be hunched over like at basketball trying to negiogiate my laps down Ha Ha. Good job. Did you wear the long sleeve to stay warm I assume?
